SANTA!!!

Not real sure about this Santa thing...
She stopped crying but wouldn't budge on a smile.

Christmas Tree O' Christmas Tree

We went to Loch Lolly Christmas tree farm in North Plains today. This is going to be our new tradition. On top of having Christmas trees they had ducks, reindeer and SANTA! We were able to visit Santa and get our tree all in one day....

Such a big helper
Given daddy some kisses before he gets to work on cutting down the tree.

POTTY!!!!

We are not officially "potty training" Peyton at this point but she does have her potty chair in the bathroom and sits on it periodically throughout the day. She is getting really good at telling us after she has gone to the bathroom. However, last night while getting ready for bed she wanted to sit on the potty. She plopped herself down and immediately went potty! I think we were almost more excited about this than we were when she first walked!! We were so proud of her. I know we have a long road ahead until she is potty trained but this was such a huge achievement it may be something we start doing on a regular basis!

Snow Day!!

It snowed a dusting overnight and the roads were icy this morning. In Oregon this means everything shuts down! Peyton and I took this opportunity to bundle up and get outside. It was cold but at least it was dry. Peyton got to wear her snow bibs for the first time. She looked hilarious in them!!
SMILE!!!
Trying to figure out how to run in those clothes.
Wow the slide is fast when it is covered with ice!
Due to the excessive clothing Peyton got stuck while trying to climb up to the slide!
Warm and ready to play!!! Bring on the snow....

Fall leaves and play time!

The apron Peyton is wearing was mine when I was a little girl, made for me by my Grammy! It is still a little big on Peyton but looks cute none the less.

I have a feeling this face will allow Peyton to get away with a lot! =)
Fall is officially here and so are the leaves! We got bundled up in our rain boots and everything to help rake the leaves up. This will be one of many leaf raking adventures this fall.
This girl has the CUTEST bootie in the entire world!!!
As you can see Peyton was hard at work raking the leaves. Good thing we have Dominic around to really do the dirty work for us!!

Happy Halloween!

Trick or Treating with Nana...and the SCARY spider!

Our sweet little giraffe!
It is hard to believe Peyton is actually old enough to go Trick or Treating. She wasn't very excited or interested in it though. We originally bought her a really cute lion costume but she wouldn't have anything to do with it. So we settled for a sweet little giraffe. She looked adorable! We only went to a handful of houses before we went home and handed out candy to Trick or Treaters. All in all it was a fun night. And a glimpse of what many more Halloweens will be like!

Peyton thinks the "baby" in the mirror is super cute.
Cute enough to give high five too....
And even to kiss.
This is Peyton showing off her pretty teeth and hair in a pony. I think that is a kissable face!

Pumpkin Carving

At first Peyton didn't want to stick her hand into the pumpkin. But she would help clean the seeds off of my hand.

So proud of her little pumpkin. We ended up carving the letter "P" into it for Peyton.
The lid was like a puzzle piece. She turned it and pushed so hard to get it to fit just right.
Cleaning out the insides...then when it is clean we put them back right?! Or so Peyton thought!

Halloween is only a couple nights away. We are getting so excited to take Peyton trick or treating this year. I am not real sure how long she will last with all of the scary masks and decorations out there. But without a doubt we will have a lot of fun!!

More Ryser's Farm

The hay maze was so much fun to run through. Finally Peyton found her way out into the arms of her daddy!

Pumpkin Patch 2010 - Ryser's Farm

Running through the hay maze.
Hay ride - she would NOT look at the camera.
Even at the pumpkin patch we must look for airplanes!!!
I couldn't be more in love with this smile. She melts my heart every time.
Peyton has started to really enjoy playing pretend. She has put on my flip flops loaded her bag with toys and taken her baby on a walk.
We had Peyton's 18 month check up today. She is 75% for height and weight. And above average for her language development. She surprises us everyday with her language skills and all of the new words she is learning. She repeats just about everything we say. Which  means we have started to spell words! I really didn't think this day would come so quickly. I'll have to try and video tape her saying "prosciutto" because it is absolutely adorable (thanks Jeff!).
Peyton blowing Dominic's whistle. She loves everything football!!
This was a present from Daddy. It is a 53" tall teddy bear! He is gigantic and super soft. We use him as a pillow for naps (I do anyway) and for reading books. Peyton adores him.
And again more football. This time though she is representing the Beavers! Go Beavs!!!

Updates...with no photos!

Peyton will be 18 months in 11 days...that is right she will be one and a half already! I cannot believe how quickly the time is flying. She is entering the "terrible twos". Hopefully this will not last through her twos though!

Her vocabulary grows daily. She is now putting two words together. Primarily it begins with a no! But her most favorite words are bicycle (which refers to a bike, motorcycle, skateboard, pretty much anything other than a car!), and airplane. Peyton discovered airplanes a few weeks ago when we spent a few nights at my parent's house. Since then she is always looking up, even when we are inside, asking for airplanes. Dominic and I took this opportunity to take her to the Hillsboro airport last weekend. She loved watching the airplaces take off and land. Even the helicopters were pretty cool. Secretly I was hoping someone would ask if we wanted to go for a ride...I was hoping for some cool desitanation like Hawaii! =)

Dominic has officially turned Peyton into a football fan. We go to the JV games so she can see her daddy on the field coaching. Last week after the game I let her run around on the field. She was in heaven! But the funniest was yesterday while I was in the kitchen Peyton brought me the remote and kept saying "Utball" (this is how she says football). So I changed the channel to football and she got all excited sat down in her bear and watched some football. This continued into the evening every time I tried to change the channel!

Dress up

The other morning Peyton found a pair of her capris downstairs and decided she had to wear them...over her jammies. She is starting to get into pretend play and dress-up. She loves to cook in her kitchen and feed her baby dolls or stuffed animals. The dress up is slowly starting too though. She loves to put on our shoes and try to walk in them. The other day she wore Dominic's t-shirt around as a dress. The little girl has such an adorable personality and it only gets better as she gets older.

Beach

We have so much fun on our trips with the Moroney's! Peyton is finally getting old enough to try and play with the boys. I think by our annual January Sunriver trip she will be keeping up with them with no problems! The weather was great so the kids got to ride their "bikes" on the deck. On our way home we stopped at the Tillamook Cheese Factory where Peyton posed as a cow.
