VOTE FOR PEYTON

Vote for Peyton by going to www.emilyandrews.net.

Peyton has been entered into a cutest kid contest with a local photographer. The winner gets a credit to her studio. We are crossing our fingers that Peyton wins so that we can get her 1 year photos and family photos taken. If we don't win we will still get photos but it would be nice to win!!!

You can only vote once per computer so if you have more than one please vote again! If we win I'll let you know.

GO PEYTON!!!

Just a quick update

I need to upload some new pictures of Peyton but in the mean time I thought I would update on how she is...

Peyton is 11 months and 3 weeks old. WOW! This first year has gone by so quickly. I can't imagine what is going to happen over the next 18 years. In the last few months Peyton's personality has really started to emerge. She has started this really funny giggle that will make you laugh no matter what mood you are in, which just makes her do it more. Her language skills are developing every day. She can say: dad, mom, wow, hi (which she says probably a thousand times a day to anyone and everyone), wix for Twix our cat. She can also sign "more" and "finished." Her latest accomplishments are blowing kisses and doing touchdown. She also tries to say "Who is it" but it all just runs together. It is really cute though. We are having our master bathroom remodeled so whenever the guys are here working, whenever they open the front door she stops what she is doing and says "who is it?"

We are not walking yet...which I am perfectly ok with!! She does walk when you hold her hands and has started almost running but not real interested in letting go yet. Again I am ok with this! It is hard enough to get my work done while she is crawling around everywhere.

Overall Peyton is a wonderful, beautiful girl that always brings a smile to our faces. It has been an amazing year for both Dominic and myself. We've grown a lot individually and as a couple. I couldn't be happier with our perfect life. Well I could be happier if our bathroom was complete!!!

Peyton is now 10 1/2 months old with her first birthday rapidly approaching. I took these photos trying to get some good ones to use for her first birthday invitations. She is such a ham and always smiling it is going to be hard to choose just the right photo.

Now that Peyton is comfortable pulling herself up she is constantly standing against something. The other day we caught her standing up all by herself for a few seconds. She is also now starting to get comfortable walking along the furniture. I am not sure I would says she is "cruising" yet but definitely getting close. It is scary for both of us to think that she is so close to turning one and walking.

Peyton "talks" all of the time now and giggles a lot. Her favorite word is "wow". I am not real sure where she learned that but she says it all the time. We also love to sing and dance around the house. She is such a good dancer. Must have gotten that from her Mommy! (ha ha!)

Gabrielle turns 1

For Gabrielle's first birthday and Auntie Julie's birthday (2/6/2010) we all flew down to Sacramento to celebrate. This was Peyton's first airplane ride. She did absolutely amazing. Flying with a 9 1/2 month old has its own challenge...for instance she does not want to hold still. But overall she was such a good girl. Our visit with Tony, Julie and Gabi was so much fun. We really do miss them a lot. Happy Birthday Gabi and Julie!

Sunriver

Every year in January we go to Sunriver with our good friends the Moroney's. Over the last few years there have been new additions added to the group. First Quinn, then Aiden and now finally Peyton. Quinn and Aiden love their "baby Peyton." Every time Peyton was napping Quinn repeatedly asked where she was. He even said one night that he would dream about her. As you can see in one of the pictures both boys are giving her loves while she rides on their motorcycle. Peyton though the tractor and the motorcycle were the coolest toys ever. She spent a great deal of time power lifting them and making "ooohhh" noises like they were really heavy. Fortunately it did snow while we were there so we got to get out and put Peyton in her snow suit and go for a walk. We had a blast with the Moroney's and can't wait for next year when all of the kids will be running around and sledding down hills!

Happy Birthday Dominic

For Dominic's birthday Peyton and I wanted to do something special. So we decided to "paint" a card for him. Of course Peyton would eat real finger paints so we improvised and used carrots. Peyton did a great job smearing the carrots around and said "da-da" the entire time. This was by far Dominic's favorite birthday present he received this year.
